Bliss Park, located in the center of town at Bliss and Laurel Streets, offers walking trails, an outdoor swimming pool, baseball field, playground, basketball court and clay tennis courts.
Built in 1921, the Community House is often chosen as a nostalgic venue for various community events.
Greenwood Center is a single-level former elementary school; abutting the Connecticut state line; erected in 1965 with 20,500 total square feet of space.
The park offers an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, playing fields and includes our multipurpose facility which houses many social services and programs.
Laurel Park, diagonally across from Bliss Park, has a pond and offers walking trails for passive activity.
Olde Town Hall
This intimate space boasts great lighting, hard wood floors and a historic feel
Town Green Park
Here you will find many community events being held, such as Long Meddowe Days, Memorial Services, and school activities.
This park has 84 acres of wooded terrain and a multiple purpose athletic field area.
Wolf Swamp Park
Our newest facility, Wolf Swamp Field is located in the east side of town. This area includes 18 acres of playing fields.
A Note About Wolf Swamp Fields:
In the spring of 2019, Town residents voted to borrow $1,541,000 for the renovation of the Wolf Swamp athletic fields. These fields are the most widely used Town athletic fields and see over 10,000 visitors each year. Members of the general public as well as youth sport leaders have attended a series of three publicly posted meetings for the last several months to discuss and develop a design plan that meets the needs of our community.
Construction is currently underway. We hope to have the initial phase completed by the end of December. Please stay tuned for more details.
