Board and Commissions
The Town of Longmeadow follows the Open Town Meeting form of government. The Executive functions of the Town are carried out by a 5-member Select Board. There are numerous volunteer boards, committees and commissions. Please consider volunteering. To learn more about a particular board, committee or commission please click here. A up-to-date listing of vacancies is available below.
Application
To complete an online application click here. You may also download an Application Form (PDF) and return it to the Select Board's Office. Applications are also available in person at the Select Board's Office.
Once an application has been filed you will be contacted by administrative staff to attend a Select Board meeting for an interview. At a subsequent meeting the Select Board would vote on your appointment. (Interviews typically take place annually in June, and quarterly if there are vacancies pending). You must be a registered voter in Longmeadow to apply to serve on a board, committee or commission. If you have any questions on the workings of a board or committee please contact any member of the committee.
