Director

Bari B. Jarvis, CPRP, M.Ed, has served the Longmeadow Parks and Recreation Department for over 25 years in many capacities. Prior to becoming the Recreation Director in 1999, Bari was the 56 Club Coordinator, Teen Center Director, and Director of School Age Services. She briefly served the Springfield YMCA as the Director of School Age Services. Due to change in Town Government, Bari's title of Recreation Director was changed to Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation, allowing for more involvement with the Parks component to the Department.

Bari received her Bachelor's degree in elementary education and psychology from Springfield College in 1995. She then completed her Master of Education degree in Recreation Management, which she also received from Springfield College.

Bari served as a member of the Pioneer Valley Parks and Recreation Association, the Massachusetts Parks and Recreation Association, the National Parks and Recreation Association and NEPA. In addition to serving as the Town's Director of Parks and Recreation, Bari is an adjunct professor with the Sports Management, Recreation and Tourism Department at Springfield College where she has taught Finance Management.

Cristina Judd

Cristina Judd has over 20 years experience as a dedicated employee in the field of Recreation for Longmeadow Parks and Recreation Department. She has served as Extended Day Group Leader, Summer Camp Counselor, Summer Camp Director, Teen Center Assistant Director, Teen Center Director, Extended Day Site Coordinator, Recreation Coordinator, Recreation Assistant and now, Assistant Director. Cristina holds her certificate in First Aid and CPR and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Bay Path College.  Cristina has trained school age, aquatic and camp staff for the past 10 years and is Safe Sitter instructor qualified. Cristina serves as a member of the Pioneer Valley Parks and Recreation Association, the Massachusetts Parks and Recreation Association and the National Parks and Recreation Association.

Tracy Berns first began as the Longmeadow Parks & Recreation Department's Administrative Assistant in 2004 and continued for 12 years in that role. In 2020, after taking a few years to attend to family business, she happily returned to Longmeadow. Tracy comes with a wealth of education and experience in all things relating to office management, including the desire to provide exceptional customer service to all of our participants. She enjoys taking advantage of any relevant training and education opportunities in her field, as well. Tracy is ServSafe Food Protection Manager certified and holds a certificate in First Aid and CPR. Tracy also holds multiple certificates in the Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official Program, and computer programming. Tracy serves as a member of the Massachusetts Parks and Recreation Association, as well.

Marina Blanusa

Marina Blanusa is the Daycare Director of Greenwood Children’s Center.  She has been in the childcare field for over 24 years.  She started her career at Greenwood Children’s Center as an infant teacher and became the Director in 2014.  She graduated from Springfield Technical Community College with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and she is also EEC Director 1 and 2 qualified. Marina is currently CPR and First Aid certified, as well as Serve Safe Food Protection Manager certified. Marina's goal is to provide an environment where your children are safe in our care and are able to learn and grow at their own pace. She believes that building long lasting, trusting relationships with the children and their families is the cornerstone for success of our program. In Marina's spare time, she loves to be outdoors, boating, traveling with her husband, visiting her two daughters, and playing with her granddaughter.

Scott Lettre joined the Longmeadow Parks and Recreation Department as the School Age Director for the Greenwood Children’s Center in July of 2021. He graduated from Franklin Pierce University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Recreation Management. Prior to this position, Scott worked for a Minor League Baseball team located in Montana for 7 years. He is currently CPR/First Aid Certified, as well as ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certified. Scott strives to provide a home away from home for the children in the program where they can learn and grow in a positive and safe environment.
