What will we do if it rains?

We have a plan for weather-related problems, like rain, lightning, and severe wind:

  1. Five days prior to the event public safety officials should be consulted on the predicted weather. If at that time there is some indicator of an extreme weather factor, the event should be evaluated.

  2. Two days prior to the event the weather should be evaluated again for the same parameters and actions.

  3. One day prior to the event the predicted weather for the time of the event should be evaluated, if the weather will not support the event it should be deemed a no go and postponed.

  4. Early on the day of the event, public safety officials should again be consulted, this should be the go / no go point. The day’s weather should be evaluated and a decision to cancel or postponed should be made. Due to the logistic concerns and set up, an early decision should be made.
