1. How do I register for Parks & Recreation Department programs?

Click “Online Registration” from our home page or within the pages of our activity descriptions on this site. You will be taken to ActiveNet, our online registration partner. Create (and verify via email link) your account, add family members, and search for your desired activity.

2. How do I register for Youth Sports Programs, such as Football, Little League and Soccer?

Most youth leagues fall under the category “Sponsored Sports Associations”. These associations have their own websites and registration processes, which can be found on the “Sponsored Sports Associations” page of this website.

3. Does Parks & Recreation still process U.S. Passport applications?

No. Please visit www.travel.state.gov to find another acceptance agent.

4. Why do you need my child’s physical and immunization records for licensed summer camps so soon after my online enrollment?

Our licensed summer camps require current physical and immunization records in order to be licensed by the Board of Health. The oversight of this requirement falls on a single staff in the office, making it difficult to keep track of non-compliant campers.

You must email a recent physical and immunization form for each child attending a licensed camp. Physical and immunization records must be within 18 months from the start of camp. A doctor's standard form used for schools and camps works perfectly for this purpose since it has the physical information and the immunization records on it. You may email a PDF of the forms to customerservice@lprd.net.  If you need help with this, please email the office so we can assist you.

Beginning in Spring 2024, current physical and immunization records will be required prior to any online licensed camp enrollments.

5. I can’t remember what I signed up for. How do I see my family’s schedule of Parks & Recreation activities?

1) Login to your ActiveNet online account here

2) Scroll to the bottom of your list of family members and select “View Family Members Schedule”

3) Select Family Members whose schedule you’d like to view, and toggle the calendar between Week/Month as you choose

6. How can I report a concern I have about one of the parks or athletic fields in Town?

The DPW maintains all facilities. You may contact their office at publicworks@longmeadow.org / 413-567-3400, or we will be happy to pass the information along to them.
