Our newest facility, Wolf Swamp Field is located in the east side of town. This area includes 18 acres of playing fields.

The Wolf Swamp fields are closed to the public. 

 At the 5/14/2019 Town Meeting and subsequent debt exclusion vote, authorization to borrow $1.541 million to fund the Wolf Swamp Facility rehabilitation was initiated.  Multiple public forums with SLR (Formerly Milone and MacBroom), Stakeholders, and Town Staff were held with several masterplan concepts and the current design was selected.  Soil sampling and Conservation Commission applications, hearings and permitting reviews were held followed by value engineering to maximize grass and parking areas for activities.  The construction documents were finalized with bidding held in August 2020.   RAD Corp. won the bid, and work began in November 2020.  Prior to that, the electrical work for the irrigation and well were completed with CPC funding.  The project is incomplete and using the facility, specifically the lawn area, further delays usability risking longevity of the fields.  The facility consisting of a 90’ diamond, 60’ diamond, walking trails and 11 acres of total irrigated natural grass playing fields is scheduled to open for use during the 2023 spring season.  

The Town respectfully asks everyone to please stay off the fields and not use the parking lots.
